Geo scribble: A Horse

Trail running 41:00 [2] 5.06 km (8:06 / km)

whole run. 50 min. I had no much clue was it going all wrong since I had no map, no head lamp, it was dark and snow covered all paths, so I just tried to remember and guess I hoped it would look something, if not horse them maybe a dog. Or an deer. Or a goat. If outcome isn't really good it's actually so bad from this perspective.

ahr:148 max:167

Run on fileds. Or not so sure can it be called running, so much snow. There is a lot less that white stuff in the woods, I guess I better run there from now on. Or just ski. There hasn't been above zero temps after those first snow flakes, so it is soft and loose powder all the way to the bottom. So there is almost knee deep powder snow and then hard icy ground, no any harder layers. Couple of snow storms more and I'll pull the trigger and buy snow shoes.

3000 tiles, one tile takes about one hour CPU time. With a regular 4 core laptop like mine it would take about month to make that (all out 24/7).

Heel is still bothering me. All the cool guys has heel problems these days. 60 days and counting. I guess I may have plantar fasciitis. Now I have opportunity to proof it is not true one can heal it with a hair dryer, I have been told it is a good way to fix it.

Luukki, with MinnaR and tomik.

Abmit. I forget to turn it on in advance to search satellitesmitstead started running pretty much right away, so I think fix wasn't good at the start. It must ahve got better fix later, seconds half looks good since it's not that far from pod's "correct" track.

Orienteering 44:02 intensity: (1 @0) + (1:04 @1) + (24:15 @2) + (8:37 @3) + (9:03 @4) + (1:02 @5) 4.24 km (10:24 / km) +96m 9:20 / km
ahr:148 max:183

Ambit + pod. Ambit data with suunto hatpod lat lon coordinates. I need to start playing with foot pod next to get cadence and stuff. And maybe auto post calibrate footpod speed and distance figures with pod's gps data. And why not post calibrate baro altitude figures with national land survey's data since there is now api for it, something like tilt alti curve about right by using first land last point. Should give pretty excellent data.

Note

Pullautin just won the public vote of the apps4finland contest! But I think it tells more about how mainstream O is here and about popularity of RG than usefullness of Pullautin. Not that Pullautin wouldn't deserve it though. Next tuesday we'll hear what the actual jury thinks about it.
