Note

I added direct post to AP to my gps logger download utility. So far it has only downloaded data over bluetooth from logger and written it as gpx/kml/txt-report to flash card. Now on it also makes automatic bulk post to AP if I want. I run it on pocket size tablet with 4 inch screen, it uses wifi or 3G mobile network. No laptops needed any more. I'll be able analyze gps data and post O race tracks to AP straight from event center immediately after finishing. I just need to drag myself to my back pack.

Running 19:00 [1] 3.16 km (6:01 / km)

Santa spotting run. didnt see any. knee was pretty good. muscles just arent as strong as they should.

A friend of mine got Ipad. How one can download data from Garmin Forerunner 305 to it? What software and adapters are needed? Ipad is new here and our knowledge is limited, but I believe some Attackpointers must have done it already.

Skiing (classic) 1:35:55 [2] 17.61 km (5:27 / km)

I used mu mapping gear for logging, Globalsat gps in cap and cell phone (5230 ) in pokcet to collect track data and send it to AP. Two loops around airport. Accuracy is impressive, if you look at it in google earth you can see where I changed line for a moment to pass people. Two tunnels caused some errors i track, everything else is nearly perfect.

Anonymous O fan donated 1.9 million euros to be used at SE Finland for kids orienteering.

The question is will they buy adventure running kids program from Hammer? ;)

Note

Same tracks in google earth format:
http://www.routegadget.net/gps/GPS_test_2010-12-01...

This time I did T as Topias test.

And the winner is... Globalsat, or one could say it's a tie between Globalsat and Forerunner. Place where fore wasn't performing as well were hills and wrist isn't the best place to have gps while sliding hands close your chest.

Then there is big gap and then comes Holux and I-gotu close together. Maybe Holux won this duel this time.

I am not very impresses how igotu unit performs. I thought it would be better. I guess they use all too small antenna for small size, low weight and price.
