Running warm up/down 5:49 intensity: (1:37 @1) + (3:44 @2) + (28 @3) 0.45 mi (12:56 / mi) +3m 12:41 / mi
ahr:142 max:159 shoes: Roclites 295 2

Experimenting with warm ups. Can't do a proper run since I don't have the lungs for it. :)

Orienteering 1:30:21 intensity: (25:00 @1) + (51:56 @2) + (7:59 @3) + (2:27 @4) + (2:59 @5) 5.6 mi (16:08 / mi) +288m 13:55 / mi
ahr:143 max:220 15c shoes: Roclites 295 2

Silver Lake Red

I felt good about this one. I wasn't expecting to destroy it, but about everything else went as could be hoped for at this stage.

S-1 straight!
1-2 straight! No trails! (justified as "probably not running much anyway")
2-3 Tried to cut the corner, got into some quality green
3-4 Back up trail, attacked from above
4-5 Drifted way left, but I forgive myself, since I'll work on my compass following soon
5-6 around the swamp, following the valley and Pasinetti
6-7 Trail to indistinct junction, then through the swamp, maybe a bit too left, then straight down spur from junction, but with some unneeded hesitation
7-8 Around to the left. Eyed the crossing but trail seemed almost as short
8-9 Right of line through saddle, left might be faster
9-10 left side of swamp, then continuing up reentrant
10-11 YOLO I crossed the correctly mapped uncrossable swamp. up to mid thigh in places, tufting wasn't strong enough for my mass, but refreshing. Curious to compare splits. a runner would have been way faster around

Igor caught me here, but he knew he had me by +6-8 minutes so we were somewhat together until 15 as I think he backed off. He later said he also took a big drink at 11.

11-12 Interesting leg. I went right of swamp, and right of hill then down spur, letting Igor help
12-13 trail to road to trail - just looked faster - Igor thought so too
13-14 same trail to same road, Igor as well
14-15 straight, tried to bomb super straight to catch Igor but overheated and blew up, groggily completely 15 and F.

Very fun, great day, thanks Jess!

Orienteering 45:11 intensity: (8:47 @0) + (35:29 @1) + (36 @2) + (19 @3) 2.26 mi (20:00 / mi) +133m 16:54 / mi
ahr:106 max:157 7c shoes: Roclites 295 2

Pickup of southern loop, 8-10 was especially fun going straight between them (ie not going to 9 in between). Glorious woods and slopes and visibility

Orienteering 26:45 intensity: (1:56 @0) + (24:38 @1) + (11 @2) 1.34 mi (19:57 / mi) +61m 17:28 / mi
ahr:112 max:141 3c shoes: Roclites 295 2

Saw Jess headed out for some c so I offered to run 'em down. Then I walked them down, legs tired! Also, I found replacements for all the burrs I'd just scraped off my tights.

Biking 1:26:48 intensity: (6:28 @0) + (1:17:16 @1) + (3:04 @2) 8.37 mi (5.8 mph) +6m
ahr:109 max:150 shoes: Jamis Dragon Sport 29er

Met Coach Cris at the Tree Farm. She got me to do the crater, which is scary. Pump track was, alas, closed for construction, but we did do the new teeter totter and might show up on some random family's social media since some hikers recorded it.

Crater (not me) for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-QO_ETtqrE It looks steeper from the top, I swear.

Watched paused randomly. Garmin, thanks for putting the pause button in a place where a normal watch-on-left person might inadvertently hit it merely by bending their wrist normally.

Weights 20:00 [3] 0.4 mi (49:59 / mi)
shoes: Barefoot

The awful soreness (sitting or standing were uncomfortable actions) was starting to fade, so definitely a good sub for the planned bike ride that didn't happen since I got too far behind this morning.

15x 60 lb (2*30) dumbbell deadlift
15x push ups
8x per side crossing over sit up. I forget if you aren't supposed to do these or not, but they weren't easy so whatevers
10x per side 30 lb curls

15x 60 lb (2*30) dumbbell deadlift
15x push ups
10x per side crossing over sit up
10x per side 30 lb curls

Note

Kevin noted his AP score was up. Rankings confirm - TGIF scrolled off; enjoy your +8%! I feel so much faster already!

Elliptical 30:30 intensity: (42 @0) + (12:40 @1) + (1:55 @2) + (3:41 @3) + (2:24 @4) + (9:08 @5) 1.64 mi (18:36 / mi)
ahr:150 max:212 slept:7.0 weight:219.2lbs shoes: Barefoot

Being hyper shin sensitive, shuffled today's shuffle to the elliptical.

5 minutes warm up
2.5 minutes up (>80 spm)
2.5 minutes down (whatever spm)

Time to dig up the Fenix charger and hr strap for Sunday because this optical wrist one is not what I'd hoped.

Note

My boss's sister threw down an 11:40 IronMan. Think I can recruit her?

Running 22:50 intensity: (1:16 @0) + (9:45 @1) + (7:25 @2) + (4:24 @3) 2.02 mi (11:18 / mi) +2m 11:17 / mi
ahr:129 max:159 weight:217.8lbs shoes: Brooks Ghost Swagger

Plus the 3/8ths miles before I turned on the watch.

I need to figure out the calories for biking round trip and eat that intentionally from decent food, because if I under eat that day, I'm famished and lack willpower and turn to garbage, for a day or two.
