Ran with the MRR.....easy run to Fort Trumbull and back by the Hosp. ....light rain but warm out.......want to push pace but Doc. said Don't ...this is going to be a tough 5 weeks.....I feel great ..... but still have to back off...... yuk !!!

Orienteering (Night O) 1:46:33 [3] 3.2 km (33:18 / km)

Did my first night O at the RHINO ......warm, fog out but not to bad....I hiked the course.....wanted to do my first Nite O....but did not want to mess up last weeks surg. ..... walking help with map reading.....messed up the first control ......went back to start 3x just did not have a feel for the trail I was on...... saw No. 2 but walked right by it ....thought it had come up to soon.....then got into it and went along ok until 9 ... I got on the wrong trail coming out of the woods and had to back track.....No. 13 throw me off as I kept pulling up short and could not see the rock wall ......but all in all it was a great night in the woods ...and as I went along I felt better and better and really enjoyed it..... Can't wait to try another nite O .....got through the night without hurting the Surg. but on the way home I did feel it.... glad I didn't try to run ..........The whole night was super...Charlie thanks for your hard work setting the course (all this with a bad wing !!) Rhonda thank you for let us use your wonderful home and all your hard work making dinner for us ....you both are just super people and I am so glad I can now count you as friends..... GREAT night with a great group of folks......Thanks to all.....

got a jog in before the rain.....want to push the pace ...but won't....... went to the Doc. for a ck up.....girls in the office went nuts when I told them that I had been running this soon after the surg. ..... but Doc. was ok with it and had told me I could go as soon as I felt good enough to run without alot of pain......just no lefting or pulling for 6 more weeks.....and don't try to set any PR's on the runs....

another good day.....no bad effects from yesterday.......easy slow jog.....felt good.....did the base loop.....another great day outside got the Xmas lights up.....so now ready for HO HO GUY !!!

Felt real good when I got up today.....no pain ....nothing....did some house work and still felt good....and saw what a nice day it was after the rain stopped...... so thought I would try a slow jog and see how it went......real slow jog ....after a little while wanted to pick up the pace.... but held back.... the last 1/2 mile I was a littlle tired....but it was good to get out ...now to see how I feel later......
