in hindsight, probably should not have come up to the Lakes and certainly would not have done if I'd opted for entry on the day, wanted to go to sleep rather than go to the start yesterday and could barely walk after I got back to the car: headache, tight slightly phlegmy chest, general muscle ache/fatigue

slept almost 12 hours

walk to the start, distance/time estimated, felt very stiff, the walk did at least rid me of that

Lakes-5, Day 2
didn't sleep well, didn't get my caffeine fix in the morning, and as feared coming down with a cold (or something), felt I was running okay (but clearly wasn't), eventually the body shut down, the mind went first, very glad I hadn't signed up for the full week

Lakes-5 Day 1, Silver Howe
glasses no use because of the rain, so couldn't read the map, fairly pleased considering, clearly nowhere near 100% physically either
