worth the three hour drive for some proper orienteering, decent run too, one small miss, a hesitation or three, and got the crucial route choice wrong (climb the hill and get your reward), evidently got a long way to go to compete in the Lakes in more ways than one

13th, 10mins behind Graham Patten, 9 on Chas and Quention, 15secs behind Frostbite

hill intervals: 6 x 130m approx. with 15-20m climb, off 2mins; then a five minute jog to the other side of the hill: 2 x 200m, with 10m climb; then another five minute jog and one last interval - 1 x 130m, with 15-20m climb - up to the war memorial

was not in the mood, but it got easier, if you know what I mean

only me and Andy so fairly steady, some hesitations over the route, missed a bridleway (!) and added roughly 2km and some climb, persistent drizzle, got very wet and quite cold by the end (short sleeves under inov8 cagoule)
