Note
(rest day)

The JK.

9th overall, which represents progress - I was 25th five years ago!

A combination of better fitness, both speed and stamina, and rivals succumbing to injury or otherwise dropping out of the sport.

Pleased, but not overjoyed.

This was the worst JK I have ever attended in terms of the quality of orienteering. Last year was okay, nice weather. And next year, it's back to Cold Ash. Hmph.

Orienteering race 40:52 [5] 5.48 km (7:27 / km) +120m 6:43 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

JK Relay, Senior Men Leg 3
Chris didn't stay with the pack on the first leg and Andrew wasn't going to make up the gap so ended up running on my own, turns out I was gaining on Ricky Baxter but never saw him so just plodded on thru the mud, off-line to #5 and missed #11 attacking 10-20m too late

9th (team)
