Golf 2:30:00 [3]

9 holes on the White at Blue Fox Run. Long walk because next tees are often distant from prior greens. Rained on a bit but only for moments. Finally got 3 good shots in a row: was beyond the green on the longest hole. Then flubbed chip shots grossly, in for a 9. Safest place when with me is between 5 and 30 yards away -- I can't possibly hit you.

Event: WCOC Pond Mt
 

Orienteering race 1:59:36 [5] 6.77 km (17:40 / km) +250m 14:55 / km

Got a ride with Charlie out to Pond Mt and heard good stories about his Albania cycling trip. Did the Green course up and over the mountain top. Exhausted by the time I reached the summit. Satisfied with my navigation until #10 and #11 where both times I failed to stick to plan (follow the creek) and tacked uphill way too early. On #10 I went back down to the creek and then found the bag handily. On #11 I went too high and too soon, relocated north to sight the lake, came around SE to find the bag nicely tucked under the north side of the boulder. Crawled up the trail around the hill to then jog down to the last two and finish. All in all, not too bad for me. But I'd like a course with less climbing.
