Pretty River with Tarno, Rydlo and dogs Logan, Loki and Koko.

A bit muddy out, but the dogs had a good time and we all ran well together. Even did a bit of bushwhack near the end.

The new Terraventure 2.0 were perfect. Great tread, secure fit and low ride.

Raid the Rib with Tarno and MsGally.
Fairly complex format with 4 maps. There was an unmapped start loop, then mandatory numbered controls. Off of the mian spine there were some sections that needed to be done together, some that you could get any time, some dog-bones, some white-out sections of the map, some with no veg mapped etc.

We got a little messed up on the crowded white-out section at the start, and decided to do the S section with long challenging nav. We only saw 1 other team and Tarno nailed it, then we spiked the controls we had left earlier. By the time we finished the first 2 maps it looked like we could maybe clean the course as we were working well together. The next 2 maps were simpler, but one CP involved a long and numbingly-cold wade to an island.

There was a fair bit of climbing up and down the escarpment, and some slippery scrambling down near-cliffs, of course. We got to the final dog-bone hill climbs, and were about to head for the last remote CP when we made the call to drop it as it might have been tight.

We finished up with a campus sprint section, with about 17 min to spare, so it would have been very tight. Only 1 all male team had cleared the course in the 5 hour limit. We were 2nd overall.

Great to race with MsGally again, who kept up no problem. Tarno was a beast and very solid on the compass, and we work well together. This was a really fun race, and I was sorry I had to split before the awards etc.
