FWTN #2 on Blackford planned by Ali. Wrong shoes for the area to start with as I've not replaced the x-talons yet. Was okay over Blackford hill but then as soon as I dropped into the hermitage it was bad. Tried to go straight on what looked like a perfectly okay slope on the map but was actually a near cliff. Slid down on my bum uncontrollably and just about survived at the bottom. I started to limp off and then looked down at my map and it had been shredded to the point at which I couldn't read it and so forced me into a retirement. On Blackford. Again. I don't enjoy it at all.
