East of Scotland Orienteering Champs round Hopetoun house. Basically a big field with some trees occasionally. Dead straight on everything except where the big wall that circled the house and gardens got in the way. Pretty much clean except a few times where I've lost maybe 10s to hesitations of route or a slightly dodgy map but as close to perfect as I've been before (not hard). Took the M20 title and won a plank of wood for my troubles. Actually won the course so could have won the M21 as well but that title went to the 11th placed runner which was Clem. :)

ESOC event around Holyrood. Green course was 4.7 straight line. Clean up until 12 where I promptly lost about 5 minutes over 4 legs.

Winning till the point I forgot how to orienteer. It'll come I hope.

Literally the busiest day. 5 lectures meant I was working 9 - 4 (awful I know) and then went and saw my great aunt and second cousin who'd come from the US so couldn't make the o'ing round KB :(

Wednesday Oct 7, 2015 #

Long run round Holyrood with Will, Ali and Richard. Constant drizzle the whole way made it a rather grim run and the route wasn't especially exciting. Went up the crags twice. Think i'll go with Inov8's next time its like this.

EUOC thing. 4 x 3mins with 2 mins rest. Distances were 0.82km, 0.8, 0.82, 0.81. Perfect pacing on the recovery as well. 0.32km each time. Pretty comfortable.

BOF squad have got their first gym session tonight so everyone was out. . Decided to play an hour of frisbee with some friends and get some work done instead.
