Orienteering race 1:15:00 [4] 12.44 km (6:02 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Harvested relays leg 5. 8.5km straight line. Grim area. Literally running off a path was pretty much impossible anywhere. So I actually had a decent run for every control except 6. Managed again to not check my compass and as a result ran into the wrong block of forest. Didn't realise until I ran out the other side of it and the path I was on was running in the wrong direction. Spent some time relocating. When I eventually got the the right place I still couldn't find the bloody flag for about 3 minutes. Lost maybe 12 minutes in total. Apart from that good run, actually felt decent running wise granted it was almost all on paths. Without 6 I would have been close for fastest split so I can't have been too slow either. Team 2nd, miles behind FVO and 1st handicap by along way too

Blackpool bridge. Had like a 20 minute break about halfway just sitting on a wall, very nice. Had to walk a couple of hills too so time and distance is just running
