Running (Warm up/down) 10:00 [3] 1.2 km (8:20 / km)

Warm up was a fast one due to the freezing conditions. Warm down non-existent

Orienteering race 58:23 [4] 7.5 km (7:47 / km)

RTC Men's open, Stirling. Overall pretty good run. Messed up 3 fairly bad in the castle not spotting the route along the wall and instead faffing about running in circles. Lost a minute. 28 didn't spot it was on top of the wall and so spent time wandering around at the bottom of it before I realised. +30s. Bad route to 29. Hadn't planned the way into the control and ran off in the direction of the line. Realised half way and had to loose a lot of height and the distance was a fair bit longer. +30s. Rest were fine. Very impressive 4 seconds on the run in too I May add ;). 4th in the end, about a min down on will hensman. First junior though.

Note

Pretty happy with the way this w/e has gone. Felt better running than I have in a long time and its just nice to have some good runs after JIRCS/JEC :)

Running (Warm up/down) 8:00 [2] 0.8 km (10:00 / km)

Jog to the start with lulu

Orienteering race 44:23 [4] 6.3 km (7:03 / km)

RTC Edinburgh race. Men's open. Good run. Some iffy route choices most noticeably on 5 where I chose to drop down the windy path and then back up the hill where I could have instead run round on the flat. Also 26 I was fairly hesistant trying to work out how to get into the control. 27 was the worst mistake running down the first set of stairs and so having to run all the way around the bottom when I could have gone down a later flight and saved alot of distance. Lost a total of maybe 1-1:30 minutes over the whole thing. 3rd when I left about 30 seconds down although Dan still had to finish and he was leading with a third to go. Results said I mp'd on 6 although I definitely went there and I got told that there was possibly and issue with the control

Running (Warm up/down) 10:00 [3] 1.6 km (6:15 / km)

Jog from Beth/sasha's flat with Will and Sasha to the event start

Orienteering 18:50 [4] 4.0 km (4:43 / km)

RTC warm up event. Pretty good fun, multi-level mayhem! Lost like 2 mins on 3 just not being able to get down to the right level. Lost another 30 secs on 9 where I ran to the first bit of park I saw which was off the map. Lost another 30 seconds through hesitations which were probably necessary tbh. 1 second behind sasha and 2 behind Yannick. Only half a minute down on Scott and hector but how hard they were running is debatable. Good run from Mark who won I think, about 2:30 behind him

Running (Warm up/down) 10:00 [3] 1.6 km (6:15 / km)

Run back to the flats with Will and Sasha
