Southern champs on star posts north. In general fairly happy with my run. Started poorly with a mistake on 4 by leaving 3 in the wrong direction. Similar mistake on 5 by leaving 4 in 180 degrees in the wrong direction. Lost maybe 2 minutes. Rest of the course no real mistakes. The odd control where I looked on the wrong thicket or something but nothing worse than 10 seconds. Maybe some route choice errors but I'll have to look at routegadet before I know. Think I was 2nd m18, 13 behind Dane and 4th on the course. I'll confirm later when results out
SYO training, Bowden Howsteads. 4 exercises. 1st was dead short and called perfect run, idea to run it perfectly and slowly as a warm up. Then 3 called plan, picture and direction. All aimed at what the title said. Direction course had no paths. Was two extra exercises but it was a thunderstorm and so nobody wanted to do much more
5 setter with Matt. Lost the first 7-6 (8-6). Lost the second 7-6 (7-0) despite having been 5-2 up. Then went down 5-3 in the 3rd only to win the next 4 games to win the set 5-7. Rolled through the 4th 3-6 to take it into a 5th. At this point he was broken and I went on to win 4 consecutive games from 2-0 down to lead 2-4. All of a sudden he started packing up claiming his mum was waiting to take him home! Naturally I was outraged but could do nothing as he walked of the court. Victory seemed assured due him being mentally and physically broken yet it was snatched away from me. I'm distraught...
Hills on honley moor. 400m hard up, 200 down easy, 200 down hard, 200 down easy, 400 hard up, 300 down easy. That's one set and I did 4 of these. Very tough, hardest I've done so far.
