Running 56:00 [3]

Very interesting run. Got chased out of a farm by at least 20 ravenous dogs with multiple mouths, blood dripping from their 10cm long fangs, and at least 3 eyes (I wasn't looking for too long!) Anyway I ran away at an incredible speed and had to alter my route to avoid the viscous beasts. This involved running off my map and thus getting lost. I accidentally wandered into a angry farmers field who shot his shotgun at me and caused me to run with my tail between my legs. ended up at this deep ravine that I was forced to scale (my thanks to the bridge and path that crossed it). Ended up on a road that, using my initiative and my nose (not literally), followed in the direction of my accommodation. After turning off onto a dangerous footpath, I came across a field of llamas/alpacas (I can never tell the difference). I edged slowly and bravely around the edge of them, without fear for my life. I made it safely to the other side in good health you'll be pleased to know! I made it into a big road and managed to make it home from my epic journey!! Deserves intensity 5 just from all the drama that took place but I know I would receive hate for this mockery of the intensity rating system. Anyway that's enough from me, happy new year to you all and I hope you have the best and most fruitful of 2014's!!!

Orienteering 47:00 [4]

Odds and evens, 1 hour score race on the Helme near Kendal. Got all the controls so happy with that. Took two falls 2nd of which was slightly more embarrassing due to the presence of people. Close race with Owens but just got him up the hill towards the end. Thoroughly enjoyable despite the rain. Think I won, awaiting confirmation of results.

Just ran back to the hut with dad the shortest way as w/d.

2 x 2000m loop around honley library followed by a 1000m loop.

Orienteering 1:14:30 [3] 7.4 km (10:04 / km)

Brown course around canklow. Possibly the worst run I've had in a while. Took 13 minutes to 3 which was essentially an orange standard leg down a path. No motivation after this and so was pretty slow for the rest, and not concentrating at all. Lots of mistakes that I won't go into. Miles down on anyone I would have liked to compete with

400m, 800m, 300m. About 100m cool down between each and about 500m after the 300m. X3 sets of this. The incline made it a bit tougher

Yorkshire squad training round Pickering forest. Hung some controls did a few exercises and then a head to head race and finished off by a classic star relay

Enrichment with running club. Others didn't seem to want to go too quick and so just ended up sticking with them

Ran down to harriers from holmfirth high as dad had a meeting there

Run out to the hill sprints loop

Intervals / hills 30:00 [5]

400m effort up hill, 200m rest down. 200m effort down hill, 200m rest down. 400m effort up hill, 200m rest down. That was one set so 1km for 1 set and did 3 sets. Ran pretty well and was pretty tough on the last set.

Cool down through honley. The others were going waaay too quick for a cool down and so went at my own pace by myself
