Running 48:00 [3] 6.0 mi (8:00 / mi)
(sick) shoes: Sauconey Grid 9s

Did a modified Starker-53rd-Covered bridge, to avoid flooding. Probably a little further than I should have gone.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

I seem to have a light cold coming on, so I'm taking today off. Plus, I'm lazy.
Tonight I will sleep well, listening to the rain poor down.

Orienteering (Mapping) 3:00 [1]

After two solid weeks of rain and drizzle, I finally got a break. Spent another three hours at upper fitton green. It's shaping up to be a pretty fun map I think. There was a touch of snow up there too!

Running 45:00 [3]
shoes: Sauconey Grid 9s

Calloway creek trail, and halfway up section 36 in Peavy, with the RC.
Pretty mild pace, but really nice. This is exactly the kind of training I like.

Running 5:00 [2]

I felt so good after this mornings trail run that I decided to do a second one. I started by running the Witham Hill open space, and intended to complete a loop on the bike path.
Just as I was thinking how much stronger I felt than 2 weeks ago, I my toes landed on a root and I overstressed my left ankle. It was the upper front area (not a roll or achilles problem), so I don't think it will be a serious setback to recovery, but it hurt. So I cut the run short, and jogged back for RICE.
Now I'm going to grab a plate of real rice, which was coincidentally in the cooker before I left.

Running 15:00 [2]
shoes: Orange Sauconys

Went to run with steve at chip ross, but wound up at wrong parking lot. I did a short jog, to check the upper lot, but didn't see him.

Running 45:00 [4] 5.75 mi (7:50 / mi)
shoes: Sauconey Grid 9s

Ran with the RC through Starker Park and back by the covered bridge. The first 2.5 miles where pretty mild, but Nate decided to pull away when we passed philomath blvd. He was up with some cross country runners when I got to the campus way bike path, so I was motivated to catch up ;-) I kept up a fast pace from there on.

Did some streching and situps when I got back.
