Another stab at Lindsey's practice exercise at Durand W. RLShadow and I carpooled and then split up. Did 13,12,11 (reverse order) ...remembered that 11 was a man made object so bee-lined to the giant m.m. obj. Forgot that there was a road needing to be crossed. Did 4+5 and then 6+7. Crossed paths w/ rls while looking for 4 (tree) who gave me a hint. I did cheat, but still thought it valuable. Thanks Lindsey for setting it up as a do-when-you-can activity.

I liked Lindsey's practice session. Paul came with me and kept the map while I tried to find the controls. First up : #1,2and3. Sailed right by 1. Conclusion: never orienteer without the map or at least without someone who can be phoned who HAS the map. Did 14,15 and 16 with more success and then 17,18,19 with the map that I looked at, to reassure myself I was at the right places, when the streamers couldn't be found at 18 + 19. Paul had had enough by then...it was pretty wet out.
