Running 2:02:44 [3] 13.72 km (8:57 / km) +1164m 6:17 / km

Up to the Argentiere Glacier for some diss stuff. Amazing day, probably the best of the summer so far - had snowed overnight so snow down to ~2500m and very crisp mountain air. Planned 6x3mins (1.5) but ended up doing 11.
Then down the home run which was minging.

Running 1:06:11 [2] 12.79 km (5:10 / km) +230m 4:45 / km

Le Tour to Cham. It's got rather cold and British now, which I quite enjoyed but tried my hardest not too because we're going to have enough of that misery over winter. Had some more awkward eye contact, this time with Mr Walmsley.

Running 1:33:41 [3] 12.92 km (7:15 / km) +881m 5:24 / km

Tempo'd up to la Floria and then tried to carry on tempo'ing up to Flegere. Didn't really have the energy to do this and so stopped and considered options / sulked for a while. Decided it was worth carrying on up to Flegere, mainly because I really, really like it up there. Quite thankful I did because it was very enjoyable and legs actually felt normal when easy climbing. A mum and her very young son asked if the cable car was closed, felt a little bad telling her they faced at least a 90min walk down.

Running 4:04:34 [2] 22.79 km (10:44 / km) +1385m 8:14 / km

As easy a long run as I could think of - basically just messing about on the Mer de Glace. Lost a game of pooh sticks involving my sunglasses, that was quite sad.
This also happened, a fair bit higher up the glacier, whilst I was out: https://www.facebook.com/chamoniarde/photos/pcb.20...

Running 2:33:28 [2] 18.56 km (8:16 / km) +1221m 6:13 / km

Today was supposed to be a very easy day, but then I got given the half day off so kinda had to do something. Still tried to keep it as easy as possible, heading up the to Grand Balcon up from Col des Montets. Felt pretty tired as per usual and so took the opportunity to actually hang around and take in the views. Always see people sitting down just looking at the mountains and feel as though for some reason I'm not allowed to do this as supposed to be running.
Then down to Cham via the UTMB descent because that's the easiest on the legs. Concentration of runners on trails is increasing dramatically at the moment, getting rather excited for next week.
.
Not too sure how to get over the whole legs-feeling-shit situation. Bit concerned that I'm just digging myself further into a hole, but hopeful that I'll come out the other side feeling strong after a couple of easier days. Will keep the long run to 5-6 hours this week anyway which should make a difference.
