5 x Coombe Bottom to below the hairpin. Started easy and only reached threshold on last 2. An attempt at gently introducing hills so as to avoid long lasting DOMS.

Club ride cancelled due to the wind. Went out at the height (50 mph gusts). Planned a sheltered route via Chilworth, and had to replan it again to do hill reps. Rode the exposed A25 unclipped and 20% of the of the more sheltered parts. Still a fair number of cyclists out seemly oblivious of the wind. Glad I got out today and did a useful session.

Wyndymilla Group Ride - Turned up and found out it was the ladies mid-week ride and they made to feel welcome. I can expect a few gents most weeks.
First time out on a road bike for 16 months on unknown roads. Only too pleased to follow going downhills.
Still had the 60mm deep aero wheelset on from when I bought the bike s/hand, and had several hairy moments due to the 40 mph gusts. There were other times when the bike was decidely unstable through no fault of the rider- at least that's my story! Enjoyable ride and good company too.
