Orienteering 13:58 [3] 1.7 km (8:13 / km) +40m 7:21 / km

Epping NW - Mitre - Short(very) Blue, went up a course today, in reality it was a green. Lost 30s going to 3, was unable to get through 10m of rhodies.
Slept badly and felt very heavy warming up & was unable to get HR up. Made sure I did all the stretches.
Did the slog up to 6 and hamstring started to tighten soon after, so walked back to F. Was on the moving bus 24min after I started! From memory that's 6 incidents of injury or swimming in depressions so far in Epping., The best being head butting a tree in undergrowth- still have the scar.

Warm Up 15:00 [1]

Did my best, walked & did very slow jog & stretches. Kept stride length down during race. I think if had been an afternoon race & I'd gone a morning walk, I might have been OK.

Note

74.0 kg. Calf I'm sure would be fine for cycling, however both hamstrings are fragile. In the medium term they need to be able to produce power over a longer ROM to run better. Aim is to run when the ground is soft and wetter, and cycle in the summer when the ground is harder, and if possible keep the two ticking over all year.
