Swimming 18:00 [3] 0.7 km (25:43 / km)

Lido - wanted to get a new 400m wetsuit pb, but wu 100s were v slow. Pleased to get under 8.00 and even more so that TH pace is getting closer to reps pace. Plenty of new round minute goals are now possible and incentive to build some stamina.
Did 7.55 (previous best Oct 2014 - 8.49) 100s were 1.53, 2.01, 2.01, 2.00 and overtook the guy in front on the second to last 50. Not feeling as good as last week, pleased TH pace is perhaps only around 11s more than reps pace when it used to be nearer 15s

Running 5:00 [1]

Only 5 mins last week, but felt benefit of doing less.

Swimming 15:00 [2] 0.5 km (30:00 / km)

Back loosened slightly last night and swam for once at an easy effort level. Interesting and learned much more than if I did the usual effort:
1. It's difficult to lift your legs/hips once they drop.
2. Reaching forwards is more energy efficient for the same pace as not doing so.

Note

Mid-back so far out of alignment that right abductor muscle is not working properly. Chiro appt finally booked 2 weeks after original call (off sick).

Note

I think my attempts to roll more are doomed to failure, as I realised last night, I have the classic swinger stroke of being flat in the water and bringing my arms round the sides and starting each stroke whilst the previous one is still not completed. Not a pretty stroke, but when refined can be very effective especially over long distances and in rough water. It's very confusing having two completely different acceptable styles, and realising much of the technique stuff online is more relevant to the smoother longer stroke style.

Doms currently around shoulder blades, probably due to trying to reach further forwards at start of stroke.

Lido - drills & 100s. Tried rolling more, at the cost losing rhythm.
