Orienteering 42:19 [4] 4.1 km (10:19 / km) +125m 8:57 / km

Collingbourne Wood - SARUM
Near perfect, except 3 where the depression was 60m out on the map, on a 150m (per map) leg, lost 4.15. Must have passed close to it but wasn't looking out for it at that stage as it was only 100m away from 2. Saw the planner afterwards, who had added 55 map corrections (poison chalice), map ancient and not very good even then. Just to rub salt in I had the same control 5 years ago and the same thing happened (remembered after). First world problems, lucky to be running at all.
2 - 15s shouldn't have cut corner, brambles.
3 - 4.15 (see above).
10 - 15s looked up and saw it 30m away.
Summer vegetation, knee high brambles for a third of course in the white areas. Found good lines through generally.
Pleased with run, and was stronger on the terrain than I expected, lungs struggled and often failed to keep up.

Warm Up 10:00 [2]

Swimming 12:00 [3] 0.4 km (30:00 / km)

Lido - invigorating 16 degs, without a wetsuit or swim cap. Having a neoprene skull cap would have been ideal, as eustachian tubes were painful.
