Kirdford Loop - found the flattest quiet loop and drove out there. Surface not great in places, roads quiet. Got out the TT bike for some variety and planned to start at 135 HR. Got a bit carried away. Part of the reason with hindsight was the saddle was too low and I couldn't get any power down. On 2% gradients speed just dropped right down and made me want to push harder to get any speed up. Two loops average 17.6 and 18.6 (near threshold). Thighs were massaging my stomach enough to make me feel sick, yet another reason to lose weight!
