Swimming 45:00 [3] 1.8 km (25:00 / km)

Pheonix 25m - theme start of 2/3 months aerobic base and 1 to 1 stroke analysis.
450 wuu including pb kicking.
4 x 50 - 25 drill, 25 fs consisting of kick front/back/scull f/scull b.
4 x 50 breathing every 3, 5, 7 & 9 strokes
3 x 300 - 80%, 100%, 80% 1st 300 fs, 2nd pb, 3rd fs
Need to kick relaxed pointed feet together, to get hips up.
Few breaks today, have the speed to keep up but need more breaks than most. Will be interesting to see if the aerobic theme works.

Swimming 18:00 [3] 0.8 km (22:30 / km)

Lido 14 degs - sun was out and felt warmer, nose clip useless just slid off, nose far too big.
wu - 3 x 40, then 4 x 50 around 56s. 100 wd - 1.57.
then 4 x 100 60s rest 1.57, 1.56, 1.55, 1.51 (without socks) all PBs!

7s quicker per 100 than 7 weeks ago, better still getting faster rather than slower. Goes to show odd drills can be beneficial as felt I had more time and control over catch. Delayed slightly and tried to keep elbows high during pull. Felt smoother and more streamlined today.

Swimming 40:00 [3] 1.3 km (30:46 / km)

Pheonix 50m - loads of drills delaying hand entering water, high elbow, touch back, shoulder, back & shoulder etc. Kicking legs on side without fins was the last straw and go outt 5 mins before the end knackered..
Not great drills for me as I'm aiming for a higher tempo, no pauses and better rotation for a more powerful pull.
