2 x 5 r/d - making some progress from a very low baseline. Think the physio has pitched this just right and working on bike specific muscles too.

Note

1st physio visit - injury is where achilles meets medial gastronemius, most common site for calf injuries. 30 mins of stretching against electrical current. Next two weeks: 3-4 times a day both legs raises, 10s drops and bent knee strech. Physio emphasised need to improve stretching before working on loading, he feels (correctly) I've been mixing the two. I was expecting something more gung-ho, but this is a conservative start. Wish I'd seen him earlier, but too many more important things going on to bother until now.

Gone again!!! Maybe it didn't like me standing around for an hour at the start at Frimley on Saturday. Felt sore later when walking to pickup the car.

Booked to see physio, not sure what they can do for me, but they have an ultrasound scanner and hopefully I'll get some insight into the problem.

On a positive note, just bought Plowman Craven team issue shorts on ebay that match bike and a genuine but reasonably priced 7 year old Zipp 404 front wheel (poorly described and inconsistent decals put most people off).
