Running intervals 15:30 [4] 3.0 km (5:10 / km) +110m 4:22 / km

Chantries XC Course: From 30s to 2.15 efforts, with from 30s to 60s rests. Varied from wu efforts to 4 x 30s uphil with short recoveries. Hopefully miscounted total time - very slow!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Struggled to even jog, tired and heavy legged. So started fartlek/intervals with usual build up wu efforts.

Abdominal muscles are showing signs of tightness.

10 x 30s (higher gear) with 30s to 60s cruise, then fast up Newlands - approx time/dist

Cycling 40:00 [3] 11.0 mi (3:38 / mi) +280m 3:22 / mi
shoes: Giant A1

Via Newlands to Whitedowns Lane and back - time approx

Tilted bars up 15 degs and raised saddle 2-3mm, will put down again, seem to prefer a saddle 20mm below "ideal".

ITW -punctured, walked the remaing 2.4 miles - time I sorted tool bags.
Got 5m down the road, realised the front wheel was not tightened up and both tyres were soft, then arrived at work and discovered we'd been plugged into our neighbours network for the last year, oops! Jinxed today? Forgot - HRM came on normally then switched off after a couple of pedal spins twice, and remained off.

2nd physio session, given some physio putty that's even more fluid than the kids stuff. Progress hand grip is now poor for a 25 year old female, it was poor for a 60 year old!

Note

Thumb/index finger positions are looking more normal and feeling it for an increasing amount of time each day. Bit like a jigsaw one bit moves and it gives the chance for another bit to move. Physio is certainly helping.

Orienteering 44:55 [4] 4.4 km (10:12 / km) +165m 8:36 / km

Long Valley South - BAOC Training Race
Arrived late so started by registratiuon adding 30s, clean to 7, couldn't find 8 and kept returning to the same couple of rootstocks so carried on assuming it had been collected in - 3.15 (it was on a hide - didn't see a hide either!), 10 - 30s, 12 - clever planning went to first ditch no control then about to go on saw second ditch - 1.15, 30s plus on the finish! Not sure the addition selected rootstocks helps on an area subject to windblow. Enjoyed it, but lacked a couple gears when I hit any resembling a hill. No wu.

FRC - Bentley H10/8 Course - 25.59 - PB by 28s! 8 mph WSW headwind (times 3s quicker this week). 48th from 62 just ahead of the pack.
Satisfied with performance thought below 26.15 was likely, but the faster start made me think there was a slim chance of going sub-26 and with better knowledge of course it all helped to get more out of myself.Best ride since last August club handicap.HR nice and steady despite speed varying widely on the switchbacks. Had an unhurried wu. More aggressive at start, but wind was a lot stronger last week, attacked the downhills more and stayed on aeros on all the hills. 13.55 for 5 miles (30s quicker), 12.04 to 10 (2s slower). Beat Rachel by 1s (8s slower last week and both had no wu). Beat Phil by 24s who was 6s quicker last week.New PB for highest HR on bike and average.

More relaxed wu, just 3 x 10s fast uphill. Seems to have worked.

Staples Lane and back. Same ride as 10 days ago on A1.
Had to get out as feeling lethargic, meant to be loosener for tomorrow but kept tempo going whilst relaxing. HR 3 beats lower and a minute longer than last time.
