ahr:132 max:150 shoes: Giant Defy 1

From St Martha's CP-Albury-Gomshall-back.
Easy apart hill at end, not sure how niggles would react.

Swimming 20:00 [3] 0.64 km (31:15 / km)

5 x 80, plus wu/wd. First swim for months. Called it a day when stroke deteriorated.

Pool Rehab 10:00 [1]

Have mild strain of hamstring at both ends not adductor, higher saddle and new bike hasn't helped.

Note
(rest day)

Strained part of right abductor yesterday, but only in leg. I suspect partly caused as a result of having regained my normal stride length after pool running, one step forwards, two back!

Orienteering 37:44 [3] 4.6 km (8:12 / km) +15m 8:04 / km

Pyestock - BAOC Trainng Event
Either a tt or O today and with heavy rain predicted later went for the dry option.
Felt strong physically, although a bit wobbly on the rough stuff (to be expected). Just the encouragement I need to run at least weekly. Can't say the same for the O technique, there were times I had to remind myself I'd done this sport before! Lost 2 min on 1 despite taking a bearing, 90s on 11 and another 60s on the rest. Made the right choice.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Tuesday Jun 11, 2013 #

Stretching/extensions 10:00 [2]

Watching the Woking leg of the Town Centre Cycling Series.

Cycling intervals 1:19:40 [4] 25.0 mi (3:11 / mi) +280m 3:05 / mi
shoes: Giant A1

Out to W Clandon lights then two circuits of the Hungry Hill circuit and back.
Unstructuerd intervals. Pride was dented twice, a guy drafted me and then flew past on flat bars, second time I took on a pair that I'd struggled to catch, then dropped into the big ring as I passed, only to be drafted uphill into the wind. Second circuit relaxed (note to self) and seemed to go the same speed and get the gear changes better on the A247 swichback. Feeling more confident on tt bike that clip ons, but closer gears and maintaining momentum uphills will take a lot more practice.
