Walking 30:00 [1]

BTOC - only second attempt at Trail O, but this time I'd read up the guide beforehand.
Bittersweet - blew it at the start. By far the fastest at both timed controls, but immediately realised each answer was wrong! Then it was 100 mins max of untimed controls where I was the only person to get all 20 correct. Got behind on time and brain was buzzing by the end. Enjoyed it. So nearly won! Must do more events to prove it was/wasn't just beginners luck.

BOC - M55S - 6.2k 295m actual climb
Realised on the way to 1 this was my sort of area (thigh deep bilberries). Lost around 2.30. Lost a minute in the circles at 1 (10s), 2 (20s), 6 (10s), 8 (15s), 11 (10s). Not cutting corners 3 (10s), 7 (10s). Cutting corners when shouldn't have 6 (40s), 7 (10s), 9 (20s). Training on Wednesday made a big difference physically and felt freed up to push harder especially over last 2k. Enjoyed the course (looked better than most), as time could be lost/gained on micro route choices within legs, good number of low visibility control sites and a decent long leg with a technical best route choice.
Pleased, target was 9 min/k, but it was tougher than expected (60m more climb than details), so would have been happy with 59 mins.

Got to the start as they called my time without rushing, so stretched in the start lane.

Mytchett - Reran 4.6k of 5.2k course from 2 weeks ago. Despite how rough I felt before and during the run, the time was quicker than I had hoped (only 4.5 min slower than Axel who planned the course). Started feeling uncomfortable around 30 mins, so stopped and warmed down back to car. Game on for BOC.

Didn't have time for the planned run or even a walk, that was until 23.00 when we ran out of fuel soon after passing the all night garage that was closed for repairs. The children saw it coming, but were kind enough not to remind me when we walked to/from the open garage!
