Social group ride with C - To Milford-Dunsfold-Shere(cafe)-Shalford-Milford-back via Bramley
C broke a spoke, fortunately close to home- potholes nearly brought us all down! Had 5min of a raging 4WD driver, angry we'd stopped for 5s at a T junction in town! Funny but sad.
Hamstrings fine. Quads weaker, but still miles better than April 19.

Testing hamstrings. 2 weeks off bike and quads weren't happy. Lost some strength.

Note

Although I barely broke stride when hamstring tweaked on Wednesday, it feels worse than on previous occasions, so probably made a mild injury worse. Had planned on running BOC before concentrating fully on cycling.

Army - Ash South - Sh Green - 33.51 - Enjoyable technical middle style course with controls in green
Did a longer 1.6k warmup and repeated stretches and mildly pulled L hamstring going over brashings- ain't getting any better!
Maybe 30s lost apart from 12. Tried unsucessfully to relocate on ponds that were marshes on map (where I thought I was). Lost 2.30. Another 30s laces & garmin.

3.00 on 30s off. Working harder than last time - the belt helped. Even got a mild sweat on.

Club Jan Strava - Jobson Lane climb from Winery - 5.52.
That went well, fastest from our group, 38s inside target. Bottled & freewheeled descent to stream. 5.45 a possibility.

Mod Ride - Out to Milford, detoured around Blackdown-Petworth(cafe)-Rudgwick-Cranleigh-home
Good start to the year, previously only been fit enough in June for a Mod ride.
Just about hung on when the pace upped after the cafe. Legless by the High St.
HR when riding just below TH was a good 3-4 beats higher than in October, suggesting running has increased TH significantly.
TCR top gears not working, hence Propel- harsh ride!

Swinley Trails with C - 2.5 x Blue, 0.5 x Red, plus off piste bits & twighlight sprint from S to CP with GPS map.First ride on built trails- so much fun. Could have ridden for another hour except it got dark.
