Swimming 17:36 [3] 0.7 km (25:09 / km)

600m stopping for 5-10s each 50. First 400 - 9.50, 600 - 15.06. Then 100 with 20s rest. Target was 10.00 (including stops) for 400. Plan to carry on with this routine, allows breaks, but no thinking time to jack it in.

Hashing 25:00 [1]

Tried with very mixed success, following this mornings hash trail in the twilight. Did maybe 200m shuffling in all. Too much!

Saturday Oct 24, 2015 #

Swimming 17:00 [3] 0.6 km (28:20 / km)

Lido - 13 degs. Stopping each 50. Feeling more comfortable with the process of "warming up". Mid-week cold bath is maybe helping. Stuck to adding 100m, might add more next week.

Note

Started some stretching and heel drops on 21st. Appears aggravated on 22nd from single foot on day before, so continuing cautiously with both feet from 22nd onwards.

Saturday Oct 17, 2015 #

Swimming 15:00 [3] 0.5 km (30:00 / km)

Lido - 13 degs. 500m stopping after 50s. Had socks on and feet were fine. Acclimatising better than last year. Heating might go on next week as min temp is 12 degs this year.

Saturday Oct 10, 2015 #

Swimming 11:00 [3] 0.4 km (27:30 / km)

Lido wetsuit - 14.5 deg, better than expected 400m with a few 20s stops. Had pool to myself. Tried new technique to get wetsuit on, starting with feet inside out, failed miserably twice, going on back to front. So much easier in a wetsuit when your technique is rubbish. Aim to increase distance if no issues later.

Note

A rare heavy chesty cold all week, so much for cold water and immune systems. Nasal passages became inflamed within hours.
