Had a useful chat with the chiropractor today. Need to work on the whole pelvic/hip/thigh/core area to stabilse the sacral joint, both flexibility and strength to remove imbalances. 15 sets of muscles!

Saw physio who was pleased with progress. Prognosis is if I'm not OK in 6 - 8 weeks then its a visit to see a "Gilmore" surgeon. On a positive note, I feel I'm in good hands. Given some quad, hip flexor and abductor exercises. A reward for behaving myself! Cross training hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Scenic reasonable paced walk in the snow, sore from picking feet up. Feeling more comfortable than two weeks ago, slow progress!

Saw physio again, who advised it maybe 4 - 6 weeks before running over rough ground. Not been doing simple core (TVA) exercise properly for last week, easily done when muscles are injured. Good job the physio checked with a strategically placed blood pressure cuff and gauge!

It took 3 months up to Xmas to delibrately put on 3 lbs for the winter and just 10 days of as little exercise as possible to add two more!

Saw physio who has an ideal sports injury and NHS background, seem to have four areas of pain she thought I might have Gilmore's Groin (declined to test!) which tends to come on gradually and should sort itself out with rest, right side of pelvis is locked (not that unusual for me), had very gentle massage and ultrasound. Given a very simple exercise for the next week.

Jarring a couple days ago was the last straw, might be out of action for longer than I'd hoped, still not sure what has caused it probably a combination of new bike setup, new desk, stopping pilates exercises and back alignment. Working 12 plus hour days for rest of month, so timimg could have been worse.

Saw doctor and he suggested not running or other vigorous exercise for a fortnight as problems appear muscular, half expected this advice and was planning on easing back after jarring pain when I slide sideways into a chair yesterday!

Knole Park - Saxons - New Year Score Event
A well planned score event on a sunny day, a real tonic! 45s lost on MR and another 90s as I hadn't planned the second loop. Reckon I ended up with the optimum route, 50s over time. Felt quite exhausted (too many 31 Dec work deadlines) and was in quite a lot of discomfort.
