Walking 1:35:00 [2] 7.5 km (12:40 / km) +590m 9:05 / km

A tale of two halves: A walk criss-crossing the hill with some shuffles, with 90,60 & 50m hills. Total 220m climb, 3.5k in 40 mins. Got back to car to find key had dropped out of pocket.

Did the whole again with extras thrown in (4k and 270m), legs really out of condition- no keys found. Borrowed a mobile and called for a lift, walked back to the car, tried the door, it opened. Thought I'd put the dog in the back while waiting, and there was my jacket, and in the pocket were the keys! Calf, needless to say well and truly done in.

Note

Left shoulder and bicep have been aching as if something has been strained for the last couple of months, and hence no swimming, and noticed shoulder was rounded too. Seems the two were connected, and the shoulder clicked today and eased immediately back into place.

Note

Long enjoyable day of 5-6 hours on feet in London, with lots of walking/standing in work shoes, passed off OK. Convinced all was well, then 2 hours, almost exactly after I got in, nerve went ping- grumpy! Will do usual TLC and consider medics.

Delightful long walk at a deserted Blackheath. Bumped into Karen J of SLOW out for a run. Where else would two Os be on a wet day.

Wisely dropped out of the Paris ride. More than likely if I ever got to the start line I'd have ended up hobbled well before the end. Hoping my place is ceased by someone on the waiting list.

Got back on the bike too soon, probably little if any damage. Going back to the basics of good paced walking a few times each day, rather than all the static stuff.
