Now have highest ranking ever, not bad for a one legged OG!

Noticed hip was sore, realised left pelvis was twisted around 20 degrees, left hip is struggling to cope with rotation, so right leg is now the dominant leg, certainly helps to take your mind of other injuries. Its only Monday, things can only get better (or worse) !

Aggravatated late yesterday yet again, too much driving, stretching and pushing off in one day. Have to slow this stage down over 2-3 days. Easier said than done!
40 min slow family walk, far too long.

Trying a less conservative approach : Started mini stretches earlier in recovery, lowered heel by 2mm and walking in bare feet 2/3 times a day.

am - felt benefit of TLC and stretching over weekend and starting to walk more normally
pm - unfortunately feeling a lot better meant I wasn't concentrating and tried rushing to the car and over did it. Back to square one yet again.

Managed to confound the local bike shop in being their first ever customer who found the largest Giro helmet too small!.

Icing twice daily and no ibu, has definitely kick started healing. Icing and minimal ibu seems to give best results.

Aggravated again! Suspect now that position of tear is so close to different parts of the calf that stresses are lateral as well as longitudinal.

Sorer than yesterday so no stretching.
Have tried two methods recently: Low dose Ibu for a few days with limited icing, is not as effective lots of icing and ibu for less time.

Calf not happy despite not using it for spinning. Must have been tensing muscle whilst resting it on bottom of frame. After yesterdays effort feel reasonably confident its worth doing some cycling events.

Single legged: 90-110 rpm, av around 220W. Improving, Class had been cancelled, helped having music.

12mm of heel inserts, plus 5mm sorbothane. Started to reduce by 1mm a day, realistically could take 3 - 4 weeks.

Really annoyed as I was hoping to get out for some active trips with the family over Easter, not sure what aggravated calf yesterday, but have usual signs today.

Could only manage a short walk and lots of icing, so messed around taking bike apart and squeezing it inside a saloon car. Too much hassle, need to buy a rack.
Drove round the Box Hill Olympic cycling circuit and couldn't keep up with one cyclist on the technical descent. Shame its ticket only, great for TV with helicopter coverage.
