YHOA Night Twigmoor

Christmas concert beforehand so bit of a rush to get there in time - thanks to HALO for the slightly extended start window...

#1 Didn't take enough care on the indistinct paths - left the path hoping to pick up some detail but instead became very confused and had no idea where I was having turned in too early! Out to path to relocate didn't help as I optimistically thought I was at the nearest junction to the control... 6 minutes wasted!
Intensity was upped following this disaster - better contact for the next few.
#7 Decided to exit SE to avoid a tiny amount of extra climb (questionable), then forced further off line by vegetation. Had just seen another competitor - concentration issue? Ended up trying to battle through dark green - gave up but was then on the wrong path... Ran almost back past the control. Eventually sorted it out. Probably another 3 minutes gone...
#16 Poor direction out of previous control to path, then went in early as safer route but hesitant [20]
#17 Started straight but then deviated to path - should have carried on as vegetation not too bad [20]

Had a great time still - it would be boring if you always got it right!
