Back from Scotland to be greeted with glorious weather!
Slow to get going but enjoyable mix of terrain.
Missed two controls - wouldn't have managed the first without running in a higher gear but had enough time to get the second - just opted for an easier life towards the end of the race.

Warmed up on Bogendreip!

Managed to luckily coincide visit with this event :)
Bagged first start but fluffed #4 massively - looking far too high up the slope. There was unmapped felling here and I erroneously deduced that the edge of the felled area tallied with the distinct veg boundary on the map.
Also found some green in the area I was searching in which kind of made sense so explored the bracken for a while before eventually recognising I was too high.
Partially excusable but perhaps not 12mins worth...
Rest of course was a bit better.

Up in Aberdeen again (briefly!)
Outing at Bogendreip which started off as pleasant as ever but was partially ruined by massive extraction lanes :(
At least it just seemed to be thinning but the massive ruts take something away from the isolation of the place...

Longstone Moor.

Early start given afternoon rehearsal and evening Proms in the Park concert.

Couple of navigational errors as well as route choice; runnability was quite variable with deep heather and tussocks in places.

#4 Went off line purposefully to utilise path but then too high. Took two relocations from the hill top to find flag [90]
#5 Annoyed with error slightly overshot [30]
#8 Banana trying to locate indistinct path [45]
#15 RR overtook here. Might have attempted to stick with him (briefly) had it not been uphill...
#19 Might have been slightly quicker to use path to north?
#23 Confused by whether crossing fence to north was permitted (no crossing point on descriptions and no red line but crossing marked on leg to #20...) Hence hesitant in descending to path (which was probably the best route anyway as rocky ground was fast) [45]
