Control clearing/setup 15:00 [1] * 0.75 km (20:00 / km)
4c shoes: Luath Blue XTalon 212s

picked up 4 controls at a saunter.
12 PM

Orienteering race 44:26 intensity: (5 @0) + (50 @1) + (2:48 @2) + (10:15 @3) + (17:53 @4) + (12:35 @5) ** 4.08 mi (10:53 / mi) +7m 10:50 / mi
ahr:152 max:174 spiked:24/28c (injured) shoes: Luath Blue XTalon 212s

Great Oaks red 5,4 km

Meet 6, course 9

Off on one compass leg in a predictable way; took 20 s to find the correct rs (should have looked at the clue -- 3m!); wallowed in the green to cross the stream to 8 and then was a bonehead for 15 s deciding whether to enter the murky water or run around (later choice won; not sure what the step below bonehead would have been). Overall, it was cleaner than some recent runs with the pace a bit slower (correlation or causation?).

Great Oaks orange 3.5 km

Meet 6, course 9
Pretty tight on all of the controls less one

Cycling (indoor) 1:00:00 intensity: (35:00 @2) + (25:00 @3) 16.57 mi (16.6 mph)

A pretty good sweat. Ankle is slowly regaining some normalcy but some continuing effort at stretching and stability exercises needs to happen.

Orienteering race 1:23:19 [3] *** 8.46 km (9:51 / km) +216m 8:44 / km
spiked:23/29c shoes: Luath Blue XTalon 212s

Miami Middletown campus red 6.7 km

Meet 5, course 7

Pretty green in parts leaving one to guess the best path. It was a beaut of a day and some of the legs were a bit more open and bequeathed more happiness during reflection. A few longer than should have been required pauses (edge of parking lot for the GO control and not immediately seeing 17). One error climbing S out of 26 rather than cutting NE was an error, but probably not too serious as it still put one out in the open to approach 27. Went high on 5, took a slow route on the way to 3 (probably one of the worst choices) and also 19 (hard fighting to the road).
2 PM

Orienteering race 25:35 [3] *** 2.9 km (8:50 / km) +51m 8:07 / km
spiked:16/16c shoes: Luath Blue XTalon 212s

Yellow 2.4

Meet 5, course 8

Other than a brief pause, this was not too bad. Terrible min/k for yellow.
