Soccer (outdoor) 1:05:00 [4]
I was well rested and ready to play hard. I decided I would start as defense as my team has been giving up goals early in the game because a defender would push up leaving us vulnerable at defense. It was working well. Me and the other main defender were doing a great job of shutting them down. After about 15 minutes I decided it was time to sub out (and I did). Unfortunately the other defender subbed out also and in came the person I was worried about. 30 seconds later he got the ball and dribbled up to the forwards area where he lost it. The other team quickly brought it back, did a fast break and scored. 2 minutes the same thing happened again. So despite my best efforts we were down early in the game.
We ended up loosing 6-2. The score should have been much closer. Our forwards had opportunity to score but just were not succeeding.
By the end of the game my calves were threatening to cramp. At one point I was chasing a opponent, knowing I couldn't catch him without getting a cramp. I subbed off after that.
