Run warm up/down (grass) 9:38 [2] 0.95 mi (10:08 / mi)
shoes: Run: Asics Gel Yayano 24

Summer Series. Norwood Park.
Jog 1.5 times around the park to warm up.

Orienteering (training) 12:26 [3] 0.87 mi (14:18 / mi)
shoes: Run: Asics Gel Yayano 24

Memory Training session. Run up the hill study a control location, run down the hill and circle the location onto another map. Do that until every control location is copied (there were 14 controls on the advanced map). It was hard to tell which were copied. I ended up missing one despite making about 16 trips to be sure I got them all.

Run warm up/down (road) 19:22 [3] 2.09 mi (9:16 / mi)
shoes: Run: Asics Gel Yayano 24

Went for run to get some more exercise. My left glut was tight so it took a bit to loosen up. Didn't know where I was going. Ran to the end of the trail and back then around the park and down the neighborhood for a bit to get the two miles.

walk (road with Darcy) 19:22 [1] 0.95 mi (20:23 / mi)
shoes: Run: Asics Gel Yayano 24

Joined up with Darcy and went back down the trail to see if the crescent trail was across the street by the pool. It was.

After we got back went to Panera Bread and met up with everyone else for dinner.

Rt 175 + 2 park loops. My Right glute was sore but I kept running anyway. Then I really started hurting later that evening.

Orienteering 57:45 [3] 2.8 mi (20:38 / mi)
shoes: Falcons 2018

picking up the streamers from yesterday's summer series training.

There were more elephant tracks than when I hung the streamers. It also took much less time to pick up than hang (because I could run).

Even though I knew where I was running I will still slow as I wanted to practice reading the map as I went also.
12 PM

Run (road) 11:36 [3] 1.24 mi (9:21 / mi)
shoes: Falcons 2018

After picking up the controls I went to check out the area where the Dam was removed. With the reservoir gone they changed the contours some. Area isn't open yet as they planted trees and what them to get established first. Looks like the trail from above to the river are open again.
