Orienteering (vetting) 3:00:00 [2] 4.72 mi (38:08 / mi)
shoes: O' Icebuds 2014

Vetting for World Fire/Police Games. I was doing a lot of map checking of features and seeing if any new root stocks appeared.

Orienteering (sprint) 10:41 [3] 1.5 km (7:07 / km)
shoes: reebok ZJET 2014

All of us ran the same course. There were no controls out and no separate control descriptions. Technically I mispunched (although there was no controls). I passed Keg and she realized I didn't go to the correct spot. We fixed the map so that wouldn't happen again. I tried to move at a good pace and orienteer cleanly. It did help having been here before.
Jon beat me by 1 second.

Run (road) 37:54 [3] 4.48 mi (8:28 / mi)

An easy run to loosen up after last night soccer. I expect to do a lot of running Saturday while vetting and I didn't want to be stiff still.

Soccer (indoor) 40:00 [4]
shoes: Soccer Indoor Nike 2013 Mercer

The other team didn't have enough to play so they grabbed a bunch of the better players from the previous game (i.e. they had a bunch of ringers).
The ringers did the most damage to us and scored most of their goals. I was still worried about my groin muscles so was trying to play easy. The result was I had a bad first half. I was beaten several times on defense. I had a few opportunities to score but because I didn't want to shoot with my injured left leg I tried to curve it with my right and shanked it.
The second half I stepped up my game and played much better. My injured leg held up so I was happy.

Orienteering (red mason neck) 1:14:52 [3] 6.6 km (11:21 / km)
shoes: O' Icebuds 2014

I am still recovering from my strained muscle. I can run straight without it bothering me so I though I would go for an easy day. Decided on a shorter red.
I had some trouble on a few controls. There were two that were bingo'ish. They were hung on marshes in very flat areas. One, I couldn't tell that there had every been a marsh there.
Because I was running easy, my pace count was off and my compensation in count didn't always work. I over shot one control by a fair amount.
It was very hot and humid. There were a zillion spider webs. I had to stop several times and clean my face of glasses.
