My Sunday orienteering was canceled so I opted to drive down to Richmond to visit Darcy's mom who had a business trip there for a day. It was snowing already and we had about 4 inches already. While waiting for Darcy I quickly shoveled part of the driveway. The snow was very light and fluffy.

the drive to Richmond was not pleasant. Our home road was unplowed as expected. the road out of the neighborhood was plowed. Unfortunately, things went down hill from there. The main roads were not plowed well, there was lots of traffic, and people who just can't drive in the snow. There were people going 5 miles on the highway in places where it was plowed, and people going 55 in places it wasn't. There was one lady pouring gas from a gas can into her car while in the fast lane of the highway. Another car with a donut tire on. It took us 1 hour to go the first 16 miles. Once we got past Fredericksburg the road was fine. It took over 4 hours to get there.

Went out to Western Maryland to check out the house and drop off some furniture. Last time I was there I pulled into the driveway and got stuck int he snow at the bottom. This time I decided to park up top. I had to shovel the driveway entrance just to have a spot to pull into. I shoveled the whole driveway. It is a very long driveway. The snow had been accumulating for several weeks. It was 3 feet by the house and 4-8 inches on driveway.

We played well. Other team was better. we did manage to pull out win the 3rd game which was nice.

We didn't have any subs so I played the whole game. I was very tired. We managed to come back and tie 5-5 after being down most of the game.
I got burned once and gave up one goal.

Got about 5 inches of snow. Got to use the new snow blower for the first time. I made the first pass then turned it over to Darcy while I did manual shoveling. didn't take long to finish our driveway and the neighbors.

The snow plow can and plowed in our court. I went out and dug out our driveway, the neighbors driveways, one cut through a big pile so the mail person could get to the neighbors mailbox. This was much heavier work. I did this instead of going running.

ran at an easier pace. I will still feeling full from breakfast but was able to keep going.

Snowed last night (about 4 inches). Fortunately, much of it blew away in the high winds (40 MPH+). Darcy and I went out and shoveled. We made quick work of it.
It was very cold out.
