I was sore from yesterday which was sore from Thursday. Still decided to do the blue course eventhough I wasn't in shape for it. This was the first time I have run on this map with a course I didn't set. It was fun to follow someone elses course for a change. Generally, I was slow. I was warm (50's) but raining/pouring. The side hills were very slick. There was one case where I slid backwards trying to leave a stream area.
Lost time at #2 because I misread the control number. Screwed up later on following the wrong line (6-10) Control 7 and 10 were very close to each other. Messed up later when I went to control 19 then started to navigate right back to 18.
Courses didn't use any of the technical areas which was disappointing.
Glasses were useless so I was doing big feature orienteering and choosing routes to avoid some of the slde hills.
GPS says I travelled 6.2 miles in the 9.2K course.

Volunteered to help pick up controls. I had to wait around for 45 minutes so didn't want to change my pants/shoes. Feet got cold. I had to pickup the farthest controls. I only had 4 controls to pick up but traveled almost 4 miles to do them.
I was too tired to run so ended up walking a lot.

The new treadmill arrived, the new treadmill arrived. Yeah.
inaugural run. Took it easy but it was still a hard run. I think the new treadmill is faster than the old one, or else I was more tired from last nights game than I realized.

First game of the season. My team moved up to the top league having dominated last season. Having played here before I knew it would be tough. Unfortunately, we played the top team first. My team really stepped it up and played well. The other team was better but I was happy with how we played. The first game we were still learning to adjust and lost 25-16. The second game we were in the running. We were leading 2 1-20 at one point but still lost. The last game we fell apart and gave up 10 straight serves before the other team took pity and give us a few logs. Once we got out of that rotation, we held out own.

Last game of this session. We played the first place team, we are iin third. As a team they weren't better then us but as individuals they were. They were dead accurate on scoring and scored on every shot they took. We lost 6-2. I did score one of our goals and had the assist on the other.

Short jog in the parking lot after the game. I was tired and it was cold out so I didn't go far.

14 degrees out, treadmill broken. Rode the bike for a few minutes before dinner.

Walked on the treadmill for a 1/2 mile. Something is wrong with it, besided the broken floor board.

Rode the bike. Once I got going it wasn't too bad. A good work out on the thighs but not aerobic.

Went Treadmill shopping at Sears. Tried out several options. Didn't run far in each one. The one I bought I did try at full speed. It was difficult to reach the controls. At one point I tried to go faster and accidentially took it up to 10 mph which is faster that I run. Darcy thought it was funny as I was trying to reach the controls while running all out.
