An easy game which was nice since my hamstring is still sore.

my hamstring was more sore than I thought so I didn't go far. Jog partial way around the parking lot.

Wed Training with Eddie. Good turn out today: Tom Strat, Francis Hogle, Dasa Merkova. Only problem was it was 97 degrees Farenheit, high humidity. For this weather/heat, the course was too long. There was a drinking fountain 1/2 through the course. I stopped for awhile and drank a bunch. After that I lost all motivation to run. Add to that my strained hamstring and I was slow. I screwed up on control (even though I hung it). I walked the last couple of controls.
first part of the course I was doing 12-15 min/kilometer. Last couple of controls I was doing 23-28 min/kilometer. I was just happy to finish.
Everyone was wiped out. Tom had early stages of heat exhaustion. Eddie finished the course but others cut it short (fortunately).

It was the championship game. We just didn't step up to the challenge. The other team played well. We lost 2-0. I really wanted to score at least one goal. This is still the best season we have had in a long time.

I am old, slow and stupid.
After the game i decided to get into a sprint race the lenght of the field. I thought I could hold my own against the slower players. Apparently I was wrong. I was in last place right out of the start and loosing ground right up to the point I strained my hamstring. Now I know I am slow,, and I was stupid for not knowing it before.
the team was jeering for the old man to cross the finish line.
