Event: QOC Wheaton

1 PM

Orienteering race (wheaton- Red) 1:00:58 [4] ** 7.36 km (8:17 / km)
shoes: O: falcons 2011

Easy meet. I decided to focus on visualizing the course and doing it as much by memory as possible. What I discovered is that I miss a lot of things this way. I would come across things I didn't expect.
I tried to keep running hard. Woods were more open than mapped. Several controls were higher /lower in the reentrants then expected. One control was mishung but I got lucky and saw it without loosing time.

My first touch of the ball I miskicked it right to the other team who scored. Fortunately, we still won.

Treadmill 17:04 [3] 2.25 mi (7:35 / mi)
shoes: 2011 Nike Max Agitate

not too cold out but dark so I did the treadmill. Cut run short because of bathroomitis. I was worried how my hamstring would feel but it was fine.

It was fairly green and slow moving. I over shot a few but amazingly was able to correct well.
