Today was my rest day because of my hamstring. It was raining early but stopped later so I went out and did some yard work. I weeded the main garden and planted peas. I total redid the strawberry beds. 1/2 of the bed doesn't have any strawberry so weeded and removed all the roots. I dug up dandelions, Raked up the sticks/gumballs and carried then to the compost pile, loaded more large debris on the trailer to go to the dump. After all that I came in and cleaned the guest shower.

I left work early to go mapping. I was hoping to get about 2 hours in before the rain started. I had just started when it started raining. fortunately it only rained a few minutes. I was able to get a fair amount done before the real rain came. I moved pretty slow (and cautiously) because of my hamstring.

We were playing the first place team and we are near the bottom. It was clear early on why they are first and we aren't. They are fast. I played ok. We had a bunch of no shows but picked up two subs. I played the whole game up until I got hurt. I stepped it up the 2nd half and played harder. Unfortunately one of my muscles couldn't and I strained it. I stopped as soon as it happened so it wasn't as bad as it usually is.

Nice and warm outside (85f). Decided to run my school route which I haven't done in along time.

back road around middle school and high school (8:30) (9:03)
1 mile on the track in lane 4. Ran the 3rd lap harder. Very tired for the 4th lap. (1:54, 1:54, 1:33, 2:04)

I was worried about having enough players. Fortunately we had 13. We played a really weak team which was great. We won 9-1. Their only goal was on a bad call penalty kick. I even scored a goal.
