The Blizzard is over. It finally stopped snowing so I thought I would go check out the main roads. We go about 28 inches of snow. That is a lot of snow. I put on the skiis at the front door and skied right off the front porch. There was a good 6 inches on our covered front porch. As soon as I hit the deep snow I just sunk in about a foot. It was like walking with Skiis. I decided to tough it out and keep going. I was the only track in the snow for the first part of my neighbor hood. I passed a kid who was trying to reach a friends house (he was on foot and not making good progress).
It took me ten minutes to get the 1/4 mile to the feeder road. That road had been plowed and was now about 2 inches of packed snow. It was a great groomed trail. I suck at skiing but was having fun going down the middle of the road. On the road there were a lot of people out walking. I saw more people out skiing then I would normally see on a regular day out running. Several people were carrying bags so at least one of the nearby stores was open (CVS or Foodlion).

Fired up the snow blower. I did the first pass down the driveway and then turned it over to Darcy. The snow was over the height of the snow blower which made it very difficult. Shoveled the upper driveway around the car.

Darcy turned over Snow blowing to me. I did some more of our driveway then did a single pass up our immediate Neighbors. We didn't expect to be plowed out anytime soon. It was dark by the time I finally quit.

Not a good night for volleyball. We were suppose to have 5 people. One guy showed up late so we forfeited the first game. Then things got ugly. We (or should I say everyone but me) sucked. We got blown away. I went the whole game and only touched the ball twice so it wasn't me who sucked. The second game we just lost badly. Since we finished early we just scrimmage with the other team and did better but would have lost again had we been keeping score.

Late night game. We had 7, a good number but not the right people. We fell behind early and stayed behind. We were down 4-1 at the half. We played better the 2nd half and fought back to 5-5 only to give up two goals near the end of the game. Oh, well, another loss. I played mediocre. I did score one goal though.

We recieved about 6 inches of snow last night. Work was delayed so I went out and did a quick snow blow of my driveway and our neighbors.

Right thigh feels a little strained but I decided I shoud treadmill anyway. Took it easy the first mile 8:00 pace then went back to the 7:30.

Bathroomitis so had to cut it short. Darcy came down and rode the bike for a while while I was running. She was happy I stopped early because then she could stop.
