Volleyball (indoor) 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: VB: Newbalance 620

We won 2 out of three which was good since we started a person down. It threw off our rythm even when the 6th person did arrive. I played ok the first two games but not so good the third game. It was the game we lost.

Soccer (indoor) 40:00 [5]
shoes: Soccer indoor Nike 2006

We were playing the first place team. It was tough as they were very fast. I stepped up a notch and played well. We lost 5-1 and I was our only goal scorer.

Treadmill (2 incline) 17:00 [3] 2.0 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Nike 2008

An easy run after yesterday tough run. Muscles twinged after 1 mile but quickly settled down so didn't bother me the last mile.

Orienteering race (sprint qualifier) 18:05 [5] 2.9 mi (6:14 / mi) +100m 5:38 / mi

Sprint qualifier at Lake Faifax. I haven't been running much and it showed. I started behind Tim Good and Don Davis. Don started walking on the downhill out of the start so I didn't wait long before going. I passed him by the first control. Caught Tim on the way to third control when he messed up.
Very much a runners course and I wasn't much of a runner. I tried to keep running but still had to walk at times.
I think the fastest way to #1 was not down the hill to the stream but it was a lot easier.
Lost time at control 2 as it was hidden behind the fence.
Lost time at three because I misread the control description and the map symbol wasn't valid for a root stock on the map.
Lost time later on looking for gully that was actually the bad root stock symbol.
Kept loosing my place on the map as the course line was to dark and very hard to see.
Overall did ok, just not very fast.

Orienteering race (sprint'ish) 34:17 [5] 4.6 km (7:27 / km)

An awful long "Sprint". More like a really easy middle distance. This was the handicapped race based on the qualifier. Everyone was suppose to finish at the same time.
I started 9 seconds behind Nadim and ran him down on the way to the first control. I took a different way to 2 and got slightly ahead of him. Nadim then stayed with me for most of the rest of the race. I encouraged him to run ahead as I was getting tired and he promptly screwed up. He didn't pass me again until the final two controls where everyone ran by me.
I general, I navigated to every control and didn't get any help from anyone. For several controls where I did screw up a few seconds droped me 10 places and i had to wait for 10 people ahead of me to punch.
