I had already been working in the yard (in the heat) for about 2 hours when I decided to go for my run (before lunch). It was about 95, humid and sun directly overhead.
Well, I felt good so I decided to go for a slightly longer run 6.1 instead of 4.4. First mile I was good, 2nd mile still ok, 3rd mile really feeling the heat so I decided to take a break. I stopped under a shady tree for about 5 minutes to cool off.
When I finally started to start up again I was stiff. I had trouble running. I jogged until I loosened up and was still really hot. I toughed out a another mile then cut the run short. I turned early and walked about .5 mile. Jogged the last mile real easy. Very dehydrated by the time I got back.
