Soccer (indoor) 30:00 [4]
shoes: Soccer indoor Nike 2006

Much of the usual team wasn't there. We didn't have any of our normal forwards. Team started off poorly. We gave up three goals very early on. Finally we settled down and the 2nd half came alive and started working as a team. We scored 3 goals near the end of the 2nd half to win 7-6. I played normal. The only mistake I made was in assuming our goalie would get one shot. The person I was suppose to be covering followed the shot up after it bounced off the wall and scored.

Run (road) 32:43 [3] 4.4 mi (7:26 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 5

It was warm out. Amazinly enough, Here it was Dec 18, 7:00 at night and I was able to run in shorts and t-shirt. I put on my new MP3 player (an early xmas present) and off I went. It is great running with music. I really takes you mind of running and you can't hear yourself breath hard. Running is much more enjoyable. I don't know if it helps my orienteering or not.

Orienteering (greenbelt blue) 1:12:33 [3] *** 8.3 km (8:44 / km) +120m 8:09 / km

A beautiful day out but I was overdressed. It was cold in the morning but warmed up a lot on the way down. I changed my shirt but was to lazy to change out of my winter tights.
I haven't been getting much training in recently so felt slow. I was also shadowing Dave Hauver so I wasn't in any hurry. Tried to keep moving. Looking at the route gadget, the quickest route was straight in every case regardless of the green.

Shadowing Dave Hauver on a Blue course. I wasn't sure how long I was going to last. I was good on the downhills but the uphills were tough. I was starting cramp up about 1/2 through. Fortunately Dave was having some difficulties which allowed me to stop and rest. I also waited a few times while Dave did a short dog-leg. I finally had to bail at control 13. I walked to control 16 to wait for Dave. At control 16 I sat down and waited. While sitting I tightened up big time. I stood up and strethed for a bit until Dave got there. Dave continued running and I just couldn't keep up. I had to say see-ya dave. I thought I could take a different route and catch up to him but I couldn't.
