Orienteering (Summer Series training) 1:09:11 [3] 6.37 mi (10:52 / mi) +260m 9:38 / mi

QOC Summer Short Series at Loch Raven, Baltimore, MD. Francis Hogel arranged for a relocation exercise in which I paired with Nadim Ahmed. I ran on a partial map to a control with Nadim following and not looking at map or compass. Once there, I put the map away and gave Nadim another partial map with just one control on it and no starting location. We alternated this way with multiple partial maps in our bag for 5 controls each. The navigator talked aloud the thought process leaving the starting point then went sometimes in a round about way to relocate and confuse the follower. Nadim relocated poorly on leg 5-6 and interrupted a paint ball game twice. Afterward we also critiqued each other and had the follower test map memory by tracing the route. I really sucked at tracing the route when following as I wasn't paying attention when following. Loch Raven has some nice woods though the map could use some updating.

Playoff game 11:00 pm at night. We picked up some extra players which through off our team work. We were beat bad.

First mile with Darcy. Jogged parts of summer series course and checked out a few items.

Hard practice with lots of exercises/running/sprints
and ball work. My team isn't ready but it never is.

Jog down after soccer. Run around the various fields. It is so hard to keep moving after practice and feels like I have run forever when it really is hardly any distance.
