Run (2/3 trail) 2:36:22 [3] 11.4 mi (13:43 / mi)

Started off ok. Started getting tired after 2 miles.
It is was really hot about 90 deg in the shade. Just kept getting slower and slower. Had to stop and take two water breaks (not included in time) at drinking fountain to try and cool off. Felt lousy after finishing.
Rt 175 + 2 R&E loops.

Orienteering (Sprint O) 14:12 [5] 2.68 km (5:18 / km)

Ran hard. Over shot the first control. I would
consider the rest fairly clean (i.e. some minor
hesitations...).

Orienteering (sprint) 19:44 [4] 3.1 km (6:22 / km) +135m 5:14 / km

DVOA McKaig Training Loop. Part two of Wyatt Riley's US Team fund raiser was a mass start training loop on a rough map with mostly trail runs and white/light green woods. The climb was the big challenge. Started in front running hard. After about 100 meters, I was tired. Hit the first climb and was exhausted. I took the woods to get to number 1 so didn't realize I wasn't in the front pack. I just assumed I was but I wasn't. Screwed up around two (ok, I read the map instead of just 'rogainning it'. Ran race with Clem and Nadim. Clem took a different route from the last control and Nadim out ran me.
